Overview
Intelligence and Security Systems provides ground-based and other integrated intelligence and security solutions for a variety of U.S. government customers. I&SS comprises six program areas dedicated to offering an array of net-enabled capabilities:
- Advanced Information Systems: More than half of the work performed by AIS supports classified government programs.
- Cyber and Information Solutions: Cyber and Information Solutions harnesses experience and expertise to provide synchronized, integrated and responsive end-to-end Cyber and Information Solutions. Boeing designs, integrates and operates cyber defense solutions on Department of Defense and other government agency platforms and networks, as well as operates and protects the world's 6th largest Virtual Private Network.
- DRT: DRT designs and manufactures DSP-based communications test and measurement equipment. DRT's wireless test solutions address the need for high-capacity or multi-standard analysis of cellular systems. While other products tend to require multiple scanners linked together to perform such system measurements, DRT offers this capability within a single portable product. DRT's products are ideal for inclusion into test and measurement, software defined radio, and synthetic instrumentation solutions. DRT can also provide consulting services in many areas related to communication systems design and analysis. Specific areas of expertise include DSP-based receiver design, communication systems theory, cellular/PCS/wireless communications, RF, and software design.
- Mission Operations is the Boeing Network & Space Systems organizational center of excellence that integrates, deploys, transitions, operates, and sustains satellite ground systems across the Intelligence Community, DoD, Civil and Commercial customers for mission success. Capabilities include operations and sustainment of advanced intelligence, navigation, communication, and space science systems such as National security, GPS II and Iridium programs. Collectively, the 1000 dedicated mission operations employees provide critical 24x7x365 mission management for more than 100 operational space assets. The Mission Operations teams provide extensive expertise in systems, software, network, and infrastructure engineering and operations that are located at more than 20 customer and Boeing sites and facilities.
- Mission Systems: Mission Systems provides the subject matter expertise, technical excellence, and operational experience required to lead Boeing's effort to support the horizontal integration of the Intelligence Community (IC).
- Global Security Systems: Home to Boeing's SBInet team, which offers experience in deploying large-scale systems integration efforts as well as in security, border security, surveillance systems and other areas that enable the team to understand the needs and challenges of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Border Patrol to deliver the right SBInet solution.
