Greg Norman Orders Boeing Business Jet

BETHESDA, Md., June 09, 1997 -- Boeing Business Jets President Borge Boeskov and Golfer Greg Norman today announced that Norman will purchase a Boeing Business Jet 737 airplane and serve as a spokesperson for the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group. The announcement was made at a news conference in Bethesda, MD, near the Congressional Country Club where Norman will compete in the U.S. Open later this week. Norman flies nearly a quarter of a million miles each year to participate in golf tournaments and attend to a variety of worldwide business activities. One of his companies currently is designing more than two dozen golf courses worldwide. The new Boeing Business Jet boasts an 807-square foot interior -- nearly three times larger than any other corporate jet. The interior can be configured to include space for conference rooms, individual work areas, a private suite, or an exercise area. Norman is scheduled to take delivery of the airplane in Fall 1998.
