Rudolph With Your Nose So Bright... Won't You Guide My Plane Tonight?

Dec. 08, 2000 -- Even Hollywood couldn't produce a more perfect setting for the Dec. 7 delivery of British Airways' 40th 777, all decked out as Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer for its debut. Although it wasn't Christmas Eve, it was appropriately cold and foggy for the planeside delivery ceremonies in Everett, Wash., attended by a happy crowd of Boeing and airline employees. British Airways is scheduled to receive five more 777-200s next year, for a total 777 fleet count of 45. Recent independent passenger preference polls have found three out of four passengers prefer the 777 for long-haul flights.
