Boeing’s Spirit of the Holidays Drive helped brighten the holidays for local communities. More than $213,000 was raised, including donations, gift matching, and team volunteer matching.
Overall, 300 employees, friends and family volunteered at 40 events. More than 8,000 toys were donated to Toys for Tots. Special thanks to the Pape Company for picking up all the toys at Boeing sites. Boeing site leads, Eurest and Boeing stores all rallied to make this year’s drive a success.
Last year this drive was pivotal in supporting our military community,” said Steve Lynch, Military & Veteran Services Coordinator, Goodwill Olympics & Rainier Region. “We were able to ease some of the stressors our transitioning military population faces especially during the holiday season. Boeing was the hope and refreshing breath that allowed our clients to stay focused on their dreams and accomplish their goals.”
Spirit of the Holidays is a Boeing employee community engagement program that enables employees to honor our heroes and give to our communities during the holiday season. Engage with us on social @BoeingWA #BoeingInspires
