Celebrating the Delivery of Six Poseidon Aircraft to the Republic of Korea Navy
The Republic of Korea took delivery of six Boeing P-8A Poseidon aircraft at ceremony Thursday at Naval Air Command in Pohang, marking a significant milestone in the country’s maritime patrol capabilities.
Catch up quick: The P-8 is a multimission maritime patrol aircraft, whose capabilities include anti-submarine warfare; anti-surface warfare; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and search and rescue.
- The Asian nation is one of nine countries around the world to select or operate the P-8. The others are United States, India, the United Kingdom, Australia, Norway, New Zealand, Germany and Canada.
