Boeing partners with FIRST Scandinavia to expand Newton Concept

  • A commitment to multiple Mobile Newton Room and Newton in a Box events to expand the global reach of this state-of-the-art classroom concept
  • Introduction of a new module to educate future innovators on sustainable aviation practices

Paris, March 4, 2025 - Boeing [NYSE:BA] today announced an investment in FIRST Scandinavia to further enhance the Newton Concept, inspiring the next generation of innovators and aviators.

The investment will introduce ten new Mobile Newton Room events and six Newton in a Box events over the next three years, reaching new locations in Europe and expanding the concept to Brazil and beyond.

Pioneered by non-profit organization FIRST Scandinavia, the Newton Rooms are themed, state-of-the-art classrooms focused on experiential learning. Since 2018, Boeing and FIRST Scandinavia have established eleven permanent Newton Rooms and sixteen Mobile Newton Room events across Europe, Turkey and China.

“At Boeing, we recognize the transformative power of education in shaping the future of aviation. Our continued investment in the Newton Concept is fueled by the impact we can see within the communities where we are proud to live and work”, said Jean-Marc Fron, Boeing France Managing Director. “The Newton Concept provides students with access to innovative and practical STEM education, and I am excited to see new horizons being explored.”

Along with expanding access, the next phase of partnership will introduce a new sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) module focused on industrial SAF production and the critical role SAF will play in a more sustainable aviation sector.
